About
From years as an advertising executive, entrepreneur and referring real estate agent, Beth has made the art-of-the-deal her life’s work. People who are selling their homes, brokers who are listing a property and homeowners who are seeking summer or holiday renters solicit Beth’s eye when staging an apartment or house.
“It’s hard for owners to see the forest from the trees when editing their property for sale or rent,” says Beth. “Items have sentimental value and have often been with a homeowner for so long that to say good-bye is almost unfathomable. I help with that transition. It might be rearranging furniture, suggesting a new rug, using books as art or adding a textured throw to an antique wingback. I love to tie pieces together — a coffee table, a photograph, a couch — so that together they create a new story, a vignette, that invites people inside. A scene that communicates: my home is your home.”
Says one client: “She used what I had but transformed the pieces. By the time Beth was done refreshing my house, I wanted to buy it.”
Beth evokes a feeling of place by using what she calls “adaptive reuse.” Informed by a keen relationship with space honed initially through experimenting with her own home, Beth has an intuitive sense about what a property needs to feel inspirational and aspirational. “I designed my upper west side apartment for adult living and then had children,” Beth says. “The demands of what we wanted from our home kept shifting, so I learned how to repurpose what we loved and accent with fresh ideas — pillows and flowers. Oh, and did I say books? You can never have enough of those!”
Efficiently and inexpensively, Beth has a reputation for cultivating — and curating — an upbeat energy and vibe that attracts buyers. Whether selling ad space for Bon Appetit and Purist magazines, developing partnerships for a start-up beverage company or more recently brokering deals for Sotheby’s, Beth knows how to quickly read a room and create long-lasting relationships with clients where trust and integrity are hallmarks.
Over the years, Beth has developed a professional and social network, providing some of the best resources in New York City and the Hamptons. If she personally can’t solve a problem, she knows who can. Beth’s talents and connections define HausBee home staging.
